How to Fight Perfectionism & Thrive Despite the Side Effects
The day I lost everything. So long ago. Glad those days are well behind me. I got my attorney notifications that morning & by afternoon, I had post-it notes strung across my walls. That young lady was my assistant sitting on my condo floor as we started setting up Quickbooks.
The aftermath of the feeling of failure and isolation was overwhelming, but in the end, it allowed me to start anew. Starting over was not easy, but it opened new possibilities and allowed me to grow in different areas of my life. I had to rebuild everything from scratch.
It taught me resilience and an appreciation for life that I may not have otherwise been able to discover. Through this process, I have learned the valuable lesson to cherish what is most important in my life and to press forward, no matter what happens. If you are in a dark place, know a new day is coming.
