The Silent Entrepreneur: Stop Talking
Use I-Language
When making a request, be clear about it and stop talking. You may want to ask if your employee understands but leave it at that.
“I would like for you to finalize the report. When can you get that done?”
“I want you to make it a priority to be on time for meetings.”
“I would like to be consulted before you make decisions about this project.”
Sometimes, others will be disappointed or angry about some of your decisions as an entrepreneur, specifically an introverted entrepreneur. So produce a response to their questions that honor you and your choices.
